By accessing or using Model Council ("the Service"), operated by Artisan Intuition ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Model Council. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

Model Council is a decision-support tool that submits your prompt to multiple AI models via OpenRouter, facilitates a structured debate between those models, and produces a synthesised verdict. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

• Model Council is not a source of truth. Consensus is not truth. Models can agree and still be wrong.
• Council results are not legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Use qualified professionals for regulated or high-stakes decisions.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and acting on any outputs generated by the Service.
• AI model outputs may be incomplete, outdated, biased, or incorrect. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any output.

• You agree not to use the Service to: generate or distribute illegal content; harass, abuse, or threaten others; attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the Service; submit prompts that violate applicable laws or third-party rights; or use automated systems to access the Service without our written consent.
• Do not submit secrets, passwords, private keys, regulated personal data, or confidential material that you cannot share with external model providers. Prompts and outputs are sent to OpenRouter and the selected AI model providers to perform each council run.

• Model Council offers the following plans: Free (limited one-time hosted preset requests), Researcher ($9 USD per month, recurring), and Lifetime BYOK Access ($99 USD, one-time payment).
• Researcher subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
• Researcher subscribers receive 50 credits added to their account balance each paid billing cycle. Credits are used for Lite (1 credit), Balanced (2 credits), or Premium (5 credits) council runs.
• Researcher credits are usage entitlements for Model Council hosted services. Unused Researcher credits may roll over while your subscription remains active, up to a maximum balance of 500 credits. Credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash or account credit, are non-transferable, and are not refundable except where required by law.
• Free users receive one-time preset requests: 3 Lite, 2 Balanced, and 1 Premium. These are not convertible to credits.

• Researcher and Lifetime users may optionally connect their own OpenRouter API key for custom model selection and additional flexibility.
• When using OpenRouter-key mode, model usage is billed by OpenRouter directly to your OpenRouter account. These charges are separate from and not included in any Model Council plan.
• Model Council encrypts your OpenRouter key at rest using AES-256-GCM before storing it. The plaintext key is never stored. We cannot guarantee the data retention or training policies of OpenRouter or upstream model providers.

• Researcher: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to Researcher features until the end of the paid period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
• If your subscription is cancelled, expires, or is terminated, unused Researcher credits expire when your paid subscription access ends and do not convert into any cash refund or payment credit.

• Researcher ($9/month): No refunds for partial months. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
• Lifetime BYOK Access ($99 one-time): Eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, the payment is non-refundable. To request a refund, contact support@modelcouncilai.com within the refund window.
• Refund requests are processed through Stripe. Refund timing depends on your payment provider and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

• Completed council sessions are saved under your account and retained for 30 days.
• Free users can view their saved session history but cannot download historical exports. Paid users can download historical sessions as Markdown or PDF.
• We reserve the right to delete expired session data without notice after the 30-day retention period.

• You retain ownership of any prompts you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited licence to process your prompts solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
• Council outputs are generated by third-party AI models. We do not claim ownership of model outputs. Your right to use outputs may be subject to the terms of the underlying model providers accessed through OpenRouter.
• The Model Council name, logo, brand, and website design are the property of Artisan Intuition.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artisan Intuition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Artisan Intuition, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.
• We may update model presets, credit costs, usage limits, and available features at our discretion. Material changes to pricing will be communicated to active subscribers before taking effect.

The Service integrates with third-party services including OpenRouter (AI model gateway), Firebase (authentication and database), Stripe (payment processing), PostHog (analytics), and Resend (transactional emails). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these providers.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, abuse of the Service, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
